• Remove Steel Backings & Screws: Steel significantly lowers the purity grade of the lot. Ensure all inserts are removed from steel tool holders, boring bars, and that no steel locking screws remain.
• Keep Them Dry: While we accept wet/oily carbide, completely dry inserts are easier to inspect and weigh accurately, ensuring you get the maximum value.
• Separate by Grade: Keeping inserts separate from solid tools (like end mills or drills) helps us assess the lot grade quickly and offer you the highest specialized rate.
