Carbide Inserts Buyers Canada
We purchase all grades and shapes of indexable tungsten carbide inserts. Sell new, used, or broken inserts for competitive rates.
We Buy All Indexable Carbide Inserts
Indexable carbide inserts are the backbone of modern CNC machining, turning, and milling operations. Because of their high density and high concentrations of cobalt and tungsten carbide (WC), scrap inserts and used inserts hold exceptional recycling value.
At Carbide Buyers Canada, we buy all types of tooling including carbide drill bits, boring tools, and thread cutters. Using specialized handheld analyzers and our dedicated testing equipment, we analyze the exact cobalt percentage and purity of every insert lot. Our advanced recycling pipeline allows us to offer you competitive prices per pound on the spot. Based in Ontario, we travel across Canada to pick up from machine shops, industrial plants, and manufacturing centers.
Grades and Types of Inserts We Accept
Different machining processes require different grades of carbide. We accept all styles, coatings (CVD/PVD), and shapes:
- β Turning InsertsCNMG, WNMG, DNMG, TNMG, VNMG, etc.
- β Milling InsertsAPMT, SEKT, RPMT, ONMU, milling cutters.
- β Threading & Grooving Inserts16ER, 16IR, parting blades, cut-off inserts.
- β Carbide & Tungsten ButtonsCarbide buttons, tungsten buttons, mining tips, and rock drill inserts.
- β Carbide Shims & SeatsInsert backing seats and shim plates.
How to Maximize Your Inserts Payout
To get the absolute highest price per pound for your scrap inserts, keep these simple guidelines in mind:
- Remove Steel Backings & Screws: Steel significantly lowers the purity grade of the lot. Ensure all inserts are removed from steel tool holders, boring bars, and that no steel locking screws remain.
- Keep Them Dry: While we accept wet/oily carbide, completely dry inserts are easier to inspect and weigh accurately, ensuring you get the maximum value.
- Separate by Grade: Keeping inserts separate from solid tools (like end mills or drills) helps us assess the lot grade quickly and offer you the highest specialized rate.
π‘ Did you know?
- β’Cemented carbide inserts contain between 6% and 12% cobalt, which binds the tungsten carbide grains.
- β’Polycrystalline Diamond (PCD) and Cubic Boron Nitride (CBN) tips have different structures and should be sorted separately.
- β’Removing steel screws can increase the value of your insert scrap by avoiding steel contamination weight deductions.
- β’Market values for inserts are directly determined by active LME tungsten and cobalt commodity indexes.
