1
Stage 01

Initial Contact & Photo/Weight Submission

⏱️ Response Time: Within 15 Minutes

Reach out via call, text message, email, or our online form. Simply provide a brief description of your scrap carbide (e.g., inserts, solid end mills, sludge, or mixed lot), snap a quick photo with your smartphone, and provide an approximate weight if known.

❓ Common Concerns at Stage 1

"What if I don't know the exact weight?"

No problem! An estimate (e.g. 5-gallon bucket, small box, or bin size) is plenty for initial scheduling. We perform final certified scale weighing upon pickup or arrival.

"Do I need to clean or degrease tools first?"

Normal coolant film or light machine oil on solid tooling is completely acceptable and requires no special cleaning.

Stage 02

Transparent Quotation & Purchase Offer

Based on your photo analysis and material specification, we evaluate current market commodity benchmarks and issue a firm, straightforward purchase offer.

❓ Common Concerns at Stage 2

"Are there hidden freight or processing fees?"

Never. Our quotes are net payout figures with zero unexpected deductions, container fees, or hidden administrative costs.

"How long is the quote valid?"

Quotes remain locked for your scheduled pickup window to protect you against sudden short-term commodity fluctuations.

Stage 03

On-Site Pickup & Freight Logistics

We handle the logistics end-to-end. For shop owners across Ontario (Toronto, GTA, Hamilton, London, Ottawa, etc.), our mobile fleet arrives directly at your facility. For remote Canadian clients, we issue prepaid freight labels or LTL truck pickups.

❓ Common Concerns at Stage 3

"What minimum quantity is required for pickup?"

We accommodate small shop lots starting at 25-50 lbs via shipping, and arrange direct driver pickup for consolidated lots starting at 100-200 lbs+.

"Do you supply containers or buckets?"

Yes! We provide heavy-duty 5-gallon buckets or steel drums for recurring machine shop clients to make scrap storage clean and effortless.

Stage 04

Certified Scale Weighing & XRF Verification

Materials are weighed on calibrated, NTEP-certified digital scales in front of you (or photographed on scale for shipped lots). High-grade or mixed lots are tested with a portable **Thermo Scientific Niton XRF Analyzer** to verify tungsten ($W$) and cobalt ($Co$) elemental percentages.

❓ Common Concerns at Stage 4

"What if there is non-carbide metal mixed into my bucket?"

Our XRF analyzer quickly identifies any steel or HSS items. Non-carbide pieces are separated cleanly so you are paid carbide value for true carbide and steel value for steel.

"Can I witness the scale weighing?"

Absolutely. On-site pickup drivers carry certified portable scales and weigh your material right in front of your shop supervisor.

Stage 05

Instant Payment Settlement

Once weight and purity are confirmed, payment is executed immediately prior to driver departure or upon shipment arrival verification. We support instant Interac E-Transfers, direct bank wire transfers, certified company checks, or cash on pickup where applicable.

❓ Common Concerns at Stage 5

"How quickly are funds deposited?"

Interac E-Transfers and Cash payments settle on the spot. Bank wires for large corporate accounts process same-day.

"Do you provide official recycling receipts for corporate auditing?"

Yes. Every transaction includes a formal Purchase Receipt detailing net weights, material breakdown, date, and payment confirmation for your accounting records.
